Angela Carter is an agent for change. Much like a tornado, her impact is immediate and noticeable.  She’s one of the few business persons who has enjoyed success in both the non-profit and private sector arenas.  Her arrival in either venue can be marked on a calendar as the day everything changed – for the better.

Angela is a certified business coach and Strategic Specialist with the Dale Carnegie Business Group, Canada.  Her expertise is in leadership and coaching development, strategic business design, employee training, management practices and even accounting.
Her energy and enthusiasm is catchy and she loves sharing it with others.  She has facilitated and presented many workshops and courses in the past 15 years with great success. Her passion is helping others to achieve success in ways they may not have thought possible.

Anthony Lindan is a full time, Toronto-based corporate magician, entertainer and presenter. Anthony performs both stand up magic and sleight of hand close up magic at corporate events across Canada and the United States. For the past 10 years Anthony has run Anthony Lindan Productions focusing on entertainment marketing and corporate training.



 

Tammy Sweeney, Niagara Casinos
Tammy has spent the last 12 years helping companies and individuals improve communication and leadership skills through interactive training and coaching. Recently she has incorporated her passion for theatre and improv to help engage audiences and participants to develop skills that lead to success every day! She is currently working as an Organizational Development and Learning Specialist at Niagara Casinos focusing on Leadership.

Sandra Summerhayes, Summerhayes & Associates/Leadership Expo
Sandra
 has designed and delivered customized training sessions for organizations in both the private and public sectors for the past 10 years. She has also worked with individual supervisors and managers to develop individual learning plans to strengthen their leadership abilities. Sandra worked at Casino Niagara for three years as their first Training Manager and as an Employment Counsellor at HRDC for 12 years prior. She is the founder and host of the Leadership Expo.

Larry Anderson, Trigger Marketing Works

After graduating from Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology with a Marketing Management diploma in 1991, he went on to a career in media including time spent in radio and print as a sales representative.

Larry then decided it was time to take the leap and start his own weekly newspaper and monthly business magazines.  He teamed up with two partners and developed The Weekly Chronicle, and Home and Office Computing into profitable ventures.  Home and Office Computing further evolved into a franchise expanding from as far as British Columbia to Toronto, and grew from a monthly circulation of 25,000 to 250,000.  

Recently he started his own firm, Trigger Marketing Works, which focuses on helping small and medium sized companies find and keep more profitable customers through the use of better communication and strategy.  Services include Marketing Plan Development, Website Development, Graphic Design, Public Relations and Direct Marketing Campaigns. Betty Ann Baker, Niagara Peninsula Homes

 Betty Ann is the executive director of Niagara Peninsula Homes, a resource group that has developed over 2700 units of non-profit and co-operative housing in Niagara and Hamilton and currently manages over 1200 units of housing in Niagara;   Betty Ann and some of her colleagues started Niagara Presents, which is a collective of women marketing under one label, a co-packing facility and a retail and gift basket outlet promoting and using local produce when in season.. She was honored as one of Chatelaine magazine’s Women of the Year in 2000 for her work and was also given the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s award in 2002 for Outstanding Contribution to Co-op Housing. The not-for-profit Niagara Peninsula Homes, which is the principal shareholder of  the  new venture Niagara Presents. Betty Ann was instrumental in the creation of Niagara Women’s Enterprise Centre that provides sector based skills training to unemployed and underemployed women in Niagara. This registered charity is owned and operated by Niagara Peninsula Homes Inc.

 Terri Bruce, Terri Bruce Learning & Development

Terri Bruce, founder of Terri Bruce Learning & Development, is a highly skilled and dynamic facilitator with over 17 years’ experience in facilitation and training in not-for-profit, private and social service sectors.  A known leader, her inspirational and motivating style has led others to meet and exceed personal and professional targets, while meeting and exceeding organizational goals.  Terri has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of human resources, customer service, career counselling, and facilitation.

Kristine Clark, Team Lead of Organizational Development, Ministry of Transportation

Kristine has been with the Ministry of Transportation for over 7 years. She has also worked in municipal, provincial and educational settings and her passion lies in assisting individuals and teams strive for excellence.

Brenda Martin, Niagara Women’s Enterprise Centre

Brenda has over 15 years experience in both individual and group counselling, specializing in the development and delivery of employment and training programs for individuals with severe barriers to employment.  Brenda completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with 1st Class Honors at Brock University and has instructed students in several introductory and advanced-level Psychology courses at Brock University, University of Guelph and Niagara College. 
Given her love of Psychology, Counselling, Research and Teaching, Brenda decided to pursue a long-term goal of achieving her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University in California.Currently on leave from her academic program, she is teaching a variety of courses at Niagara College and coordinating an employment/training program for women who are survivors of physical and emotional abuse.
